We are not building a perfect place. We are learning the place we found.
We are from Kraków — and more and more from Wilczyska.
A few years ago we found an old homestead with a wooden house, a garden, and a patch of woodland. Since then we have been learning life between the city and the countryside. We renovate the house, plant a garden, grow trees and shrubs, make preserves, and slowly get to know the place that is becoming our second home.
We are not farmers, and we are not renovation or gardening experts.
Many things we do for the first time. Sometimes it works; sometimes it does not. We make mistakes, change plans, and try again. That is what we want to share here.
Windy Farm is a story of making a place. Of an old house coming back to life. Of a garden that teaches humility every year. Of a forest that was here before us. And of everyday life between Kraków and Wilczyska.
For now you cannot buy anything here. This is simply our story. If something more appears one day, it will only be when it feels like the right moment.
Where to start reading
If this is your first visit, see Start here — we gathered series and posts that make it easier to get to know Windy Farm and the story of this place.
What matters to us?
- Closeness to place — we write about a real homestead, an old house, and a piece of the world in Wilczyska.
- Nature and seasonality — we try to grow a garden with respect for the soil and the rhythm of nature.
- Honesty — we show not only successes, but also mistakes, failures, and everything we learn along the way.
What will you find on Windy Farm?
Stories from renovating an old house, life on a homestead, the garden, the forest, preserves and kitchen. We also write about energy on the farm, everyday life between city and countryside, and how we build — step by step — a place we always want to return to.
